Missouri’s Gov. Nixon was also a profile in courage. Didn’t bother to bring in a special prosecutor when McCullough dragged his feet and all but signaled his intention not to get an indictment. Heck, even Florida’s governor saw what was going on in Sanford and brought in a special prosecutor (who still managed not to get a conviction, but it at least saw the inside of a courtroom for a jury to decide).
