We found the bag at Unclaimed Baggage in Prague Airport. It was never “on the truck” as KLM kept insisting. The bag arrived on a later flight from Amsterdam and they just stuck it in the Unclaimed locker.

We were reunited with the lost bag just before our flight to Tel Aviv after a somewhat Kafkaesque runaround, which was actually out-Kafka’ed by our experience at the Budget rental car counter at Ben Gurion airport.

I saw the thing about them demanding to know how you got into their country with your border control passes or whatever. :)
