$1 trillion for Montana seems a tad overpriced - for a state with only $45 billion in annual economy, even given the value of the RE. Now if they threw in Washington, say ($476B) and Idaho ($65B) - just to keep it contiguous - for say, $2 trillion, you might get a deal you could get to pay out over a few years, and put a decent dent in the national debt. Okay, there would still be $20 T to go, but you have to start somewhere…
