According to the explanatory PDF on ACORN’s site, the filmmakers won’t release the original tapes. If they did engage in major editing, this is hardly a surprise.

What is surprising to me is that more people didn’t raise questions about the legitimacy of these videos. Heck, I feel violated, since I’ve been involved in several discussions with rabid righties where I had to say “yes, their behavior was despicable, but…”

Uh - there were several discussions questioning the editing of the tapes that took place right here immediately following their release. The questions were raised by the very people you’re calling names - the ‘rabid righties’.

In these same discussions, you’ll find several calls for the full, unedited tapes to be released, by those same diseased mouth-foamers.

Before you accuse some nefarious group of broad-brushed bad behavior, I’d suggest an attempt to ground your remarks in reality.
