Sorry, but no. Communism is a ideology of the left.

But that said, American liberalism wasn’t and isn’t communist (though there was sometimes contacts and exchange between it and communism, never the twain did truly join). Nor does the conservatism of Ronald Reagan or George W. Bush really owe anything to the KKK. Broad categories aside, neither the mainstream left nor right in post-1960’s America is totalitarian.
