People hearing “punks,” where is the k sound between n-s? I’m not hearing it. Neither am I hearing a /ə/. Dont’ want to start an argument, just honestly find this interpretation one of the more odd ones based on the actual recording. Contextually it makes more sense than cones to me, but my ears just aren’t hearing the missing elements in the word.
