All this confirms is, newsrooms are full of candy asses who often had their asses kicked in high school

Ohhhh fuck you Dan. Fuck you and the horse you rode in on.

I was TORMENTED by bullies at the age of 13 and I’m not talking just about at school. They targeted me at school, in the neighborhood even in my own home (via crank calling). They harassed not only me but my parents as well.

Here are several of the more unfortunate incidents I was a victim of:

- Hung, by my belt, off a fencepost in the middle of schoolyard during recess in such a way that I could NOT get off. I was a public laughingstock for I don’t how many minutes until someone helped me off the post.

- Shoved down a flight stairs while recovering from a broken leg AND ON CRUTCHES!

- Violently “wedgied” in front of school mates in the hallways at the end of the day

I stopped taking the bus to school for fear of what would happen if I did. My parents withdrew me for the final two weeks of Eight grade because they did not feel I was safe there.

I nearly TOOK MY OWN LIFE because of this.

This was not teasing, it was not ribbing and it was NOT normal. It was vicious hurtful abuse and assaults that I did not DESERVE.

The only reason, the ONLY reason they went after me is because of my size. I just happen to be on the small side.

I still bear the emotional scars of what happened to me but you know what?

I’m doing ok now. I’ve got two degrees, a decent job, a wonderful wife and a loving family. I’m proud of who I am and I am proud I didn’t sink to the level of those who were harassing me.

And if that makes me a candy ass or a pussy Dan, then I guess I’m one of the biggest candy asses you’ll ever meet. And you know what? That doesn’t bother me ONE DAMNED BIT.

People like you will never understand. Don’t act like you do.
