What about the areas who get their electricity from Nuclear power plants, wind farms, etc?

It would be great if the majority of US power came from those sources, but it doesn’t. For now, when all factors are considered, CFL bulbs (which don’t even release mercury at all unless they’re broken) result in less pollution than their incandescent counterparts. Or are you so committed to hating environmentalists that you harp on toxic compounds only in electricity-saving products, while ignoring the far greater toxic output from excess electricity use? Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.
