The tea party has nothing to teach anyone, on any topic.

The better analogy would have been, these particular lefties that have gotten under your skin didn’t learn anything from Civil Rights movement that preceded them.

They’re not alone in their ignorance, either. A lot of today’s rebellion-is-cute-and-trendy” crowd has never had to struggle for anything in their overprivileged lives. In that way, they are indeed like the tea party.
