Well, they’re trying to call the shots. It’s early days yet. We’ll see if they succeed.

In my opinion, the media is kind of abetting the problem by treating them as though they are the ones calling the shots.

Self appointed leaders. They stand in front of the camera and claim to have organized a particular group of protesters. The reality though is that MB does indeed have support in Egypt. Much like the Islamists we too have our own version in the USA: Dominionists and the religious right. They have representation even in congress to a certain extent. Shouldn’t a democratic state also include representation of these factions like we have in the USA also be included in Egypt? Or are we going to claim that while we’re for freedom around the world that it is best to maintain a Mubarak dictatorship because we know what’s best for them?
