Palin wins, according the Wall Street Journal’s best of the web today

Whatever you think of the lady, she’s obviously a natural-born politician (and you may not like that idea either!). This is why the Left, with one voice, set out to trash her the moment her acceptance speech was over - what was it Olbermann said, it was great if you like that sort of thing…

And clearly, she’s not lying low, but neither is she overexposed at this point; she can twitter and blog stuff that has been vetted, so that it’s all nice and like she wants it to be - not like the gotcha interviews she had to do. And of course it’s true; they brought her out too early, but then the Republican bin was pretty empty when it came to a VP candidate.

Great politicians play it from their gut, so whatever reasons we speculate about being behind her moves almost don’t matter. If the Lt Gov in Alaska is as good as she thinks, then she definitely did the right thing by the people up there. If she has a book deal and speaking engagements, and doesn’t have to defend these idiot suits, then she did the right thing for herself and her family. If she can help shoot down Obama-care, then she’s doing the right thing by the country.

It may be unconventional, but great politicians have a sixth sense.
