Tell you what when I see people getting equally upset at all the toxic materials (like mercury) in the oodles of electronic equipment like computers and cellphones that people use and dump like they’re nothing and account for the highest percentage of toxic waste in landfills I’ll get get excited about light bulbs.

E-waste and toxic materials is way more of an issue in terms of percentages and amounts then light bulbs.

One of the great weaknesses from the Green side (my side) is the uninformed emotional response to risk. I have a camera lens that will make a geiger counter scream. My wife wears a beautiful Chinese medallion made of mercury.
