Do you know what “evangelical” means?

High regard for biblical authority….yes. The bible isn’t the book we should be basing our laws on. The Constitution is the document to which we should adhere. And when people say ‘Evangelical Christian’ today, they mean people who put their faith first. The SCOTUS shouldn’t be about faith. It should be about interpreting the constitution.

And yes, I do think there are too many fucking Catholics on the court myself. The problem, though, is that some brand of Christian faith (or Judaism) is a prerequisite for positions of power in this country. It shouldn’t be.
