When questioned about why there were so many State Department vacancies, Trump made some glib comment about saving taxpayers’ money.

And his supporters applauded him for it because they all know that government workers do not do anything useful for their salaries.

Didn’t he also make some comment along the lines of “whatever the policy is going to be, it’s coming from me.”? It seems like he doesn’t care to have Departments staffed with professionals and experts because he figures he can just say “this is what we’re doing” and it’ll get done regardless.
