As someone who loves reading about the history of the office of POTUS and respects the dignity of the office and the men who have held it (with only a few exceptions) can I just say how depressing it is that a sitting President had to be asked if he was “punchdrunk” on national TV?

I feel like Bush held the dignity of the office together with Elmer’s glue and scotch tape for 8 years, but the damage to the office started by Clinton continues.
