How insane was it? I guess this is about the last day you can ship and be sure it will get there by Christmas?

I’ve got an Ebay package to send out tomorrow, I just do all my postage on line, print it out and then put it in the basket at work.

The line moved surprisingly well, except for the people who didn’t have any idea what they were doing and didn’t have their packages together, etc.

That said, I’ve never seen a longer line at the post office, and that’s saying something.

My friend, a mail carrier, is working pretty much 7 days, including pkg deliveries on Sunday. She’s exhausted, even with a right-hand drive SUV, many days working 12 hrs.

And the P.O. keeps running that awful ad about “our season”…

I feel for a lot of the employees and did my best to be a cheerful, nice customer (and thank them for doing an excellent job!) because I’m sure they’re dealing with a lot of shit. I really can’t beat the flat rate boxes for mailing stuff cross country though (sent out two today).
