As much a polluter? Well, no. You still are polluting in a minimal (misdemeanor)way, although you are not doing something with the kind of deliberatness that we saw with safety violations (and loss of life!)in the Gulf.
But yes, I would say that a murderer with a small body count is just as evil in a way as a Hitler. The crime really is the same. The details are different, but the intent to deny an innocent of life is the act of a monster. Hitler was more effctive in his crime and was able to bring millions of willing followers with him. I still think that the moral implication of (deliberate)murder remains the same regardless of scaleā¦but that may also be some of my theology talking here.
