For your perusal, one of my biggest meteorite fragments, about 3 pounds, an “L” chondrite, for the Sahara… you can see the black fusion crush on some parts of the surface, and the stress fractures from impact…

(This works on IE, but seems to choke up on Safari, don’t know why. I use Safari, but I had to test the link on IE because it kept crashing Safari on me).
