Strip mines, clear cut forests, polluted rivers, exacerbated climate change that’ll decimate entire ecosystems. There’s Republicans who want to retake all our federal land for development. There’s a developer who wants to build million dollar homes on the north rim of the Black Canyon in Colorado.

Wilderness is anathema to your average conservative in the US.
