These people, no matter what religion they espouse, who go to the extremes of apocalyptic visions, must really be miserable human beings.

My vision of the future, as an atheist, is that if we face a dystopian future and “apocalypse”, we will bring it upon ourselves through social, political and economic means. We humans, as is often the case, often can’t see past our noses, although some of us have recognized that the conditions here on the planet, of our own making, not some “higher being”, will be the cause of our demise.
