One word of warning, Walter: be very nice and don’t go after anyone when proposing your changes, een if that person is being stupid. I say this because of my mother. She once went to work at an office that was quite disfunctional, but was still a tight-knit group (no, it was not in Scranton, to preempt the jokes). She tried to make changes the office desperately need (including reports that I helped write), but did so in a manner that aroused the ire of the group. Ultimately, the company let her go as she had become to disliked to be effective. From that I learned the importance of keeping your co-workers on side.

Understood… I’m getting buy in with the other 2 furniture department employees (3 of us cover a 7 day a week schedule)… we’ve been working together on improving the department.

And as far as the internal marketing in relation to the signage campaign, I took the best parts of the outside marketing companies slogans and added a modification that really better targets the various idea that we they really want the signage to convey. I figured the best way to get them to partner with us is not to discount everything they have done.
