My suspicion is that the redistricting will be an over-all slight plus for the Democratic party - the GOP doesn’t hold the House by a very big margin and a non-responsive GOP base turned off by Mitt could mean the Dems taking the house back.

And, I would not put the Senate into the (R) column just yet. That was the conventional wisdom after the 2010 election, but the GOP has really come off poorly in this whole budget battle/ tax holiday thing.

You might be right. I’m just taking a stab in the dark waiting for Nate Silver to tell me what to think so I sound smart and informed.
