“Western Civilization is inherently superior” is just “White People are Better” dressed up in intellectual garb. And this sort of revisionism goes down well with people who are contrarian by nature and have little sense of historical context or nuance.

I would say by this point that if you’re driven by contrarianism itself, no tweet, no matter how well composed, will shift you.
