Completely OT, but whoever said there’s no such thing as bad publicity wasn’t trying to sell a video game console:

It still won’t make me buy a new console at launch. Screw that noise. Imma wait for the inevitable price drops and for some games to actually be released first.

I knew they’d cave, but I didn’t expect it this fast. My guess is they realized they were getting clobbered by Sony in preorders and decided to act.

I’m betting after Microsoft announced their new policies first, they were expecting Sony to go along with some of them as well, when they didn’t happen, they backed off.
