Well, it’s a good thing that we all know enough about this situation that we are going to go after a 17 year old girl, calling her a “drama queen”, and just assume that there is nothing negative going on for her other than a desire for attention. And also attacking people that were trying to take her at her word and help her.

The people who have taken this story and run with it, shame on them. Everyone else, what the hell do you know that would cause you to pass judgments and calling people names?

Is there something I’m missing here?

I’m asking everyone to slow down.

I’m not saying the girl is anything except there, the subject of the story.

I’m saying that we have few facts, but lots of opinions, and it would be nice if we didn’t start applying “predator” to people we know nothing about; remember, this is a thread about her parents having been pre-judged?

I’m constantly assaulting the notion of the girl as a non-actor, someone “lured” or “brainwashed” over the internet like some sort of pigeon in a Skinner box. Do all of you remember being a relatively bright near-adult? I do! I am suspending judgement on the young woman until a report is issued; I’m suspending judgement on the church until a report is issued.

For the record, I have suspended any judgement on this at all until a report was issued.
