I think everyone should check off “other” on their Census forms.

Census form? I’ve never encountered a census form.

But, yes, actually, for my entire life, not once have I checked a race box supposedly trying to pin down my “race.” Even when i was a kid, as a form of protest, I would refuse to check the boxes (they didn’t have “other” as an option in those days), or would check “other” when that option became available. In high school, I became extremely sarcastic and would create my own box that said “Martian” or “Purple” and check that box.

I agree — everyone should boycott and protest any racial-classification boxes.
