re: #428 chadu

I swear I’ve seen ham in kosher delis. Am I high?

Kosher style perhaps. One that claims to have food that would normally be found in a kosher restaurant, but it can’t be kosher because they’re serving non-kosher food (BLT, ham on swiss), or are mixing meat and dairy products (like a Reuben).

But those wouldn’t be found in a kosher restaurant.

For instance, Katz’s deli in NYC could be considered kosher style, because it provides typical kosher deli fare like pastrami, corned beef, etc., but they’re not kosher because they have all the cheese products.
