Frankly, I don’t care if he liked Bernie, hated Hillary or Trump. I’m more worried what our CiC will say. Will he use this to ramp up his hateful base? Will he go after the left? I’m certain he will make things worse.

And I’m concerned that everyone will frame this as a right-left schism issue, rather than the easy availability of firearms and that even what may well be good guys with guns suddenly turn into raving nutters who blast away at people because they don’t like them for whatever reason (to say nothing of the bad guys with guns who will take advantage of lax gun laws and use them for criminal purposes). That criminals break the law doesn’t mean that the law should be eliminated. Having penalties for murder hasn’t stopped all murders, but having stronger gun laws has reduced gun violence in many places - like NY.
