I remember when we were thrilled to have enough money to afford Little Caesar’s “Pizza Pizza” deal — and we paid for it with cash -folks with debit cards have been desensitized to the use of credit cards. —maybe if they had to pay cash for something they would think twice.

We didn’t have much growing up, but were never in debt. My parents, their parents and siblings, and everyone I knew just lived like that. Never knew how well that lesson would do for me. This next generation has not had many role models, sad to say.
