Katia is apparently sparing the NYC metro area of the effects of TS Lee remnants by robbing it of tropical moisture flow and shifting the rain bands further inland (screwing central and southern NY, central PA, and downstream communities).

Nothing like being a storm a couple hundred miles from the coast and still causing damage by its mere presence (not counting storm erosion).
