He has a bit of a point: pushing NATO up to the borders of Russia was an unnecessary move, and did not buy us any gain in security.
Why should we tell the people who have suffered the most that they do not deserve protection? Or is it better to say we “can’t” protect them because it’s not easy enough? Sorry but the Ukraine should have been a full NATO member long ago and today’s incident should, I believe, invoke Article 5.
