I went to a Montessori school, took French from 1st grade all through high school and college. My undergraduate degree is in Comparative Literature, the other language was French. My verbal conversational skills need a lot of work, but I can read that shit pretty well. But anyone with even a mediocre competence can still see that CCJ is relying on Google translate to fill in significant gaps in his ability, and Google translate unfortunately sucks infinite balls at both syntax and idiom.
