re: #26 Scottish Dragon

It probably wouldn’t be that easy. He can drag things out in courts while his cronies at the state level try to have votes thrown out etc, His goal would be to have the election thrown to the House, which he would win since each delegation gets only one vote.

Basically, we could go to January with both sides claiming victory and no sense of what the outcome could be, and threats of states to ignore the results whichever way it goes.

He needs a lot of support for that scenario to happen. We are watching his support slowly dissolve right now.
As for dragging things out, Bush v Gore showed that there is a significant faction that cannot comprehend getting to Inauguration Day without a winner, whether or not Bush v Gore is used as precedent. To drag things out that long, a lot of judges in a lot of different jurisdictions would have to be skeevy enough to not grant dismissals even when a case is facially absurd. I don’t think that he will still have enough pull by then to get even a fraction of that to occur.
