It occurs to me that I may not actually be a conservative. I mean, fiscally I am, but socially I seem to have quite enough trouble running my own life, thank you very much. You’ll have to run your life pretty much without me.

Unless you define conservative as the preference for looking to past events to provide hints on present behavior, as opposed to jumping in with what ever the untested, untried, flavor-of-the-moment may be.
