I like the island scenario. Particularly if the rest of the capitalist world charge them up the wazzu for imported goods… like food. (They wouldn’t need no medicine or nuthin’, since prayer and scripture would replace anything resembling science.

In ten years it would be a cesspool; overpopulated, polluted beyond belief, every yard would have a ratty old Camaro on blocks, and nary a blade of grass left standing. At that point, maybe one of those acts of God they talk about so much could come along and carry the remainders out to sea.

It’s win-win for humanity.
