I’d really be happy just to see someone who has at least some sense in them on the GOP ticket. Romney would be good for that. As far as politicians go I’ve never seen one who doesn’t… phrase his opinions creatively… at times, so I don’t really expect anything else. Then again, I’m a bit cynical in that regard.

still, wouldn’t you rather see a Romney/whoever ticket rather than a Bachman-esque candidate?

either way I think it’ll probably be a second term for Obama but the debate between him and Romney would be much saner than that between him and some of the more extreme GOP candidates. now a sane debate like that might do a LOT to at least draw the GOP back to a more sane position as a whole.

and yeah, I’d be finea little creative speech and a lie-to-the-base here and there to that end. wouldn’t you?
