In that particular case, even in states with legalized mj use, administering it to a child will likely remain an offense.

The story seems to imply that the method worked, weird as it was. There are chemicals in cannabis that are probably useful for various treatments. But in that story the child was being weaned of off Risperdal, so who knows what it is in cannabis that may have helped.

Even if there is a medical reason? What is the purpose of medical marijuana if not for situations like this regardless of age?
