It be nice if we could get a film that was as close to the book as the mini-series was, but had the special effects and costuming of the Lynch flick.

Oh and didn’t have a bunch of very white people playing a group supposedly descended from Arabs.

There is a fanedit of Lynch’s film called Dune: Alternative Edit Redux that’s actually quite good, and adheres a bit more to the original novel, especially the ending. It’s floating around there in the intertubes.
