No. Turns out my sister-in-law was allergic to cat dander. Their neighbor upstairs adopted Byll. My sister-in-law likes cats, just can’t live with them. The “shed cats” are a nice compromise. She can snuggle a cat on occasion, but the house is dander free and livable for her. Plus my brother gets the effect of having outdoor cats to keep the local mouse and chipmunk population in check. And they’re quite sociable to humans for outdoor cats. Leery of strangers, but otherwise like hanging around with folk. One of them will even come along if you take a walk around the pond or into the woods.
