(I’m not convinced that the war in Iraq is comparable to the war in Afghanistan…a surge may work in Iraq, but not in Afghanistan. And, McChrystal — as I understand it — is calling not just for an increase in troops, but a whole new way of fighting the war..similar to what Canadian troops are now doing in Afghanistan.)
