To me what makes Trump unique is his very contempt for democratic government. Bushes, Reagan, Nixon, Ford, not good Presidents IMO but I don’t feel they had contempt for democracy. Trump I feel definitely does.

I guess we just don’t see things the same way.

Nixon: Watergate, subverted South Vietnam peace talks
Ford: Pardoned Nixon and several cronies
Reagan: Allegedly subverted Iran peace talks, Iran-Contra scandal
GHW Bush: Pardoned Reagan’s operatives in Iran-Contra
GW Bush already discussed above.

I see all these acts as subverting democracy (especially Iran-Contra, which was against the expressed will of Congress in a law they passed).

Trump is just doing the quiet parts out loud. The others are who got him there.
