I’ve always wondered what the electricity bills are like for sculptors who fire ceramics or people who work with fused glass & such. It can’t be cheap.

I’ve had the chance to talk with a number of folks who work with blowing glass. It is definitely not cheap.

Hell, I’ve taken apart the inside of one of the furnaces at the lab (we were installing a new controller) and the width of the power lines is …impressive. And scary. You always triple checked that. Seeing the damn thing arcing one morning was good grounds for a heart attack.
