Obama joined Wright’s church because he was a Harvard/Yale educated half-white man running for elected office in a majority-black urban district. Joining Wright’s church was a purely political move to prove his “blackness” to the community, and ingratiate himself with the pastors that are very influential in black inner-city politics. Pure politics. Duh.

Yeah, but no way in hell is 20 years not going to have some effect.
