I want to plant this idea in some gun fetishists head:

The next time you’re at a restaurant, a movie theater, or church, what has kept the person behind you from shooting you in the head is not your gun. You would never know to get your gun out if they wanted to kill you. What kept you from getting killed was the sanity of the person behind you. That’s it. Most people are sane, and therefore you are safe. Do you really want a gun in the hands of those that aren’t sane?
