Agreed. I was very critical of Bush at the time and that embarrasses me. If I would have thought as a parent instead of as a partisan I would have realized that Bush did the right thing for those children. Things were already well past the point where five minutes would make a difference.

I have to agree here. Lord knows I had and still do have a lot of legitimate gripes with Bush but I think he handled that as well as he could given the situation. What I cannot defend though is how Bush handled Afghanistan. I really thought we messed up big time by switiching gears to to Iraq not even two years after 9/11.
