re: #434 wrenchwench
Fact: Mr. w collects Griswold. He also collects waffle irons. But he hates Ebay, except for doing research, so I looked that one up for him. We’ve never seen one like it, and he has the two books on the subject. He’ll watch the auction.
I think we’ll have fancy waffles for Thanksgiving. And Mr. w said he plans to take it easy and fill the role of Thankstaking, which somebody’s gotta do.
We also have one of these pans, in which I made those balls. Easier than fancy waffles, and just as good!
I only have a few pieces of Griswold, but I do have an Aebleskiver pan, though mine is round. Also have a Swedish pancake plette pan, a nice 16” round bail handled griddle and #3, 8, and 9 large logo skillets with heat rings.
I saw a #00 waffle iron, which is the largest version of the fancies, go for roughly a thousand dollars a couple years ago. I won’t bid against Mr. W this time around, as my finances won’t permit me to splurge on such things until after Christmas.
