Columbus police released bodycam footage of the shooting of the 15 year old girl. It was definitely no Derek Chauvin sort of situation. He gets there and it is sort of chaos and it looks like she is about to stab another girl. Using deadly force to protect someone else is probably the best excuse he can have.

This goes back, though, to excessive force. She had a knife, and he had a gun. A bullet to the arm or leg if he can’t physically get between the two in time is enough. Even if he’s such a bad shot that he had to hit the chest, why four?
