Actually, in this case it’s called the Paradox of Thrift, because it’s done by the individual rather than government, but the overall effect is exactly the same - reduced demand. You can’t grow an economy on reduced demand.

As I say, Conservatives tend to believe that what is a good practice for individuals MUST BE the best practice for a population.
