Really, the worst nightmare for the GOP is not losing tomorrow. It’s waking up Wednesday morning to hear the demographic breakdowns that show Hillary won largely through the votes of the groups that put Obama in the White House. It will mean that the “Obama Coalition” was not a fluke, it was not something they could write off as “racial bias” by saying that black voters showed up just because a black guy was on the ticket. It will mean that the future of the party is a very bleak one if they cannot address their massive disparity between the message they sell and the people they need to remain a viable national party.
