If Bannon truly is out, or on his way out, that’s good news for humanity.

Still, I must confess a certain level of ambivalence. It’s possible that Trump, under the influence of Ivanka and Jared, might be turned into just a really bad President, instead of a catastrophically awful, apocalyptically bad President. This would reduce the likelihood of a 2018 wave, and retaking the WH in 2020.

But we’d be more likely to survive to see 2020.

Unless the whole Jared & Ivanka thing snowballs into such a horrid embarrassment that his numbers crater even further. Bannon wasn’t exactly liked by most people, and had no govt experience, but at least nobody thought he ‘d gotten the job through nepotism or because Trump was incestuously fixated with fucking him.

Jared & Ivanka have no idea what they’re doing, they cosigned off on the worst atrocities of Trumps first few months and there’s zero reason to believe they’ve modified his positions in any way. Sidelining Bannon and attacking Assad are also already having the effect of demotivating Trump’s most hardcore supporters up to this point, the alt-right. Continuing to put the country’s issues in the hands of Trump’s totally unqualified eastern elite Jewish son-in-law is NOT going to repair the growing rift with his overtly racist base.
